Dodoner is a döner restaurant on Queen Street West in Toronto. Its founder, Selda Oncel, had worked with our creative director on her first restaurant and came back before this one had a name. She credits us with creating the name, then the world around it.

The name
Dodoner splits into a mark that works on its own: DO over DO in a torn-edge square, with the full name for when there is room. The square fits a hanging sign, a sticker or an app icon; the long version runs across the storefront.
The logo animation came with it, for screens and social.

Signage
The projecting sign was specified in a dimensioned drawing, then made and hung over the street. At night the red frontage and the lit square carry the brand to the far side of Queen Street.

Around the counter
The same red, white and torn edge carry through the staff aprons, the menu board on the sidewalk and the food photography.

Online
A responsive 3D website carried the brand onto laptops and phones, along with digital menu screens and social templates for the launch.

Opening a restaurant?
We can name it, brand it and put it on the street. Tell us about the food.
